FAQ

  • Are these made in the USA?
Yes, all products are 100% manufactured at our corporate headquarters in Elkridge, Maryland.
  • If I buy Shield Only will I get the halo that is in the picture?
When you order your first shield you will want to select either HDPE+Shield, ePVC+Shield, or Youth+Shield. This will adjust the price to account for the addition of the halo. HPDE and ePVC are our two types of halos. HDPE is made of an antimicrobial material that is harder, heavier, and more rigid than the ePVC halo. The youth halo is ePVC. Most people find the ePVC halo more comfortable. The HDPE is more durable. You will need the halo to hold the shield in place. All halos are adjustable and can be disinfected and reused. Once you have a halo you can purchase the Shield Only option and change your shields as you'd like.

The materials used in the shields meet all the regulations for compliance. They help to protect the face, mouth, nose and eyes by creating a barrier between the worker and the infectious material. These units cover the forehead, extend below the chin and wrap around the sides of the face as required by the CDC. More information about proper usage of PPE can be found at www.cdc.gov

HDPE Halo units are made from antimicrobial plastic and are better suited for environments where the highest level of sanitation is required. Both HDPE and ePVC units are able to be disinfected and reused, but ePVC material does not have the same inherent antimicrobial properties as the HDPE units. HDPE are well suited for high risk areas and ePVC are well suited for lower risk and general use environments.
